7th Int. Workshop on Petri Nets and Performance Models
Next: Paper Registration (form)
Up: PNPM '97
Previous: Call For Papers (PostScript)
Papers should not exceed 20 double-spaced pages, excluding figures and tables.
The final version will be limited to 10 pages IEEE double columns format.
Papers must be unpublished and must not be submitted for publication elsewhere.
The default process for submitting a paper is to
submit a Postscript version of the paper using email.
Permission to submit a paper using an
alternative method
must be obtained from the
Program Chairman.
In any case please respect the
submission deadline.
In order to facilitate the electronic reviewing process,
please adhere to the following guidelines
-
Only Postscript format electronic submissions will
be accepted, using a protocol described below.
Papers must be formatted for the North American letter paper
page size-8.5 inches by 11 inches or for the European A4 standard
size.
All submitted papers will be test previewed by the Program Chair
with ghostview 1.5 and ghostscript 2.6.2. If the paper cannot be
successfully previewed, you will be informed by the Program Chair
that in its present state, the paper cannot be reviewed
(at which point the paper will have to be submitted
the old fashioned way).
The chance of successful electronic submission is maximized
if all elements of the paper (text, figures, tables) are
generated using a Unix system with the standard
Unix tools. Avoid unusual fonts. Be aware that Postscript
generated by PC tools like Word frequently have portability
problems---and files generated by MacIntoshes almost always
have portability problems.
-
In the event that the electronic submission can not be printed,
the paper may be resubmitted in hardcopy form,
in which case five copies are required.
The
deadline for submission
of hardcopy papers is the same
as for the electronic paper submission,
so that if you want to submit papers electronically
but fear there may be a printing problem,
you should submit well in advance of the deadline.
-
The paper should be emailed to chiola@disi.unige.it.
The file must be compressed either with "Unix compress"
or "gzip", and "uuencoded" in order to pass through the email
without changes .
Similarly,
a 200-word Abstract (in plain text) should be emailed,
either in a separate message or as a pre-amble for the
compressed PostScript file.
-
Papers submitted by fax will not be accepted.
