Contro il precariato nella ricerca / Against insecurity in research

Dall'intervista al Premio Nobel  Giorgio Parisi su Left del 15 ottobre 2021:

“Per quanto riguarda i ricercatori, se in un Paese offrono la posizione permanente all’età di 29 anni e la garanzia di poter partecipare a dei bandi di concorso per dei finanziamenti e in un altro – che è l’Italia – non c’è nemmeno la possibilità di essere finanziato, ecco che la fuga è inevitabile.” “In Italia, la possibilità costante di ottenere finanziamenti non c’è. Altrove c’è. E poi è estremamente difficile avere un lavoro permanente prima dei 35-40 anni. Che vita si può fare essendo precario fino a quell’età?” “In Francia di norma la prima entrata ai centri di ricerca dell’università avviene sotto i 31 anni. Sopra i 31 anni un ricercatore sarebbe considerato anziano. In Italia quasi nessuno ha un posto permanente sotto i 31 anni. Siamo in mondi completamente diversi.”
“Un altro cardine è un piano certo di assunzione di giovani ricercatori. Nella prossima finanziaria è possibile che rientri un piano di assunzione a tempo indeterminato di 30mila ricercatori nei prossimi 5 anni.”


Dall’intervento di Maria Chiara Carrozza a Presidente del CNR all’incontro del 5 ottobre 2021 al Senato:

“Dobbiamo avere una grossa massa di ricercatori che stiano bene, che stiano socialmente rispettati, che possano contrarre un mutuo e avere una casa, che possano avere una famiglia, possano avere la maternità e altri welfare e quindi per me è estremamente importante oggi uscire dalla logica del precariato, dare una posizione decorosa e socialmente rispettabile”. “Marginalizzarli o rendere la loro vita troppo precaria io non ci ho mai creduto, anche quando in questo Paese, in queste Aule, qualche anno fa c’era chi appunto diceva che tutte le posizioni di ricercatore devono essere a tempo determinato. Io sono sempre stata in favore di contratti stabili e di tranquillità. Personalmente la mia vita è cambiata quando a trentatré anni ho avuto il primo contratto a tempo indeterminato. Ho vinto un concorso e dopo che l’ho vinto io ho lavorato molto di più di prima e meglio di prima, quindi so quanto può rappresentare questo e quindi vi ringrazio per tutto quello che farete in questo senso”

I have always been in favor of stable contracts and peace of mind. Personally, my life changed when I got my first permanent contract at the age of thirty-three. I won a competition and after I won it I worked a lot more than before and better than before, so I know how much this can represent and therefore I thank you for everything you will do in this sense "
