The AI-MEMO project aims to create an innovative system for the
monitoring of cognitive fragility in elderly people through the
analysis of socialization data, urban mobility, cognitive skills
and mood, collected mainly by Smart Phone. The project intends
to create a platform based on Cloud technologies which, through
the use of normal Smart Phones, is able to collect a large
amount of data both in terms of outdoor mobility and performance
in simple cognitive tasks also administered through virtual
reality. This data will be collected continuously over time,
building a database on which machine-based artificial
intelligence algorithms can operate. For each elderly user, a
profile will be created, constantly updated over time, which
will allow for the timely identification of significant
deviations and will therefore advise caregivers or medical
personnel suggesting further study.
The main innovative elements in the project are related to the
use of machine learning algorithms, games made in immersive
virtual reality, the use of game dynamics in cognitive
stimulation tasks and the creation of a set of tools for
evaluation and cognitive stimulation.
