Giovanna Guerrini received a Laurea degree (cum laude) in Information Science in 1993 and a PhD in Computer Science in 1998, both from the University of Genova, Italy. Since 2005 she is associate professor in the Department of Computer and Information Sciences (DISI) of the same university. Previously, she had been associate professor at the Department of Computer Science, University of Pisa, (2001-2005) and assistant professor at the Department of Computer and Information Sciences, University of Genova (1996-2001). She had been visiting researcher at Iowa State University and at Universitè Paris Sud.
